💫 Welcome to the Heart of the Village: Our Story
“Mom, why don’t all kids get to have fun learning like we do?”
That question came from my kiddo one evening as we were crafting a pretend bakery on the floor of our living room, surrounded by felt cupcakes and glitter glue. I paused. Because the truth hurt.
In that moment, I looked around at the well-loved bookshelf, the art supplies scattered on the rug, the soft rhythm of a worship song playing low in the background. This wasn’t just a home. It was a tiny ecosystem of joy, growth, and healing, and I knew not every family had access to that kind of environment.
🏡 The Setting: A Home Full of Love and Lessons
I’ve raised my children in a creative, peace-filled, “lived-in” home in Southern California, the kind of home where the kitchen smells like cupcakes and coaching sessions happen around the dinner table. Where the beach resets our nervous systems and storybooks teach us more than textbooks ever could.
This Village was born here. In this joyful, sometimes messy, always magical space.
⚔️ The Conflict: A Broken System, An Unmet Need
Here’s the hard truth:
💔 Families are drowning in isolation, overwhelmed by information, and under-supported by systems not built for them.
📉 According to the Pew Research Center, more than 40% of families report feeling disconnected and stressed out, not just from each other, but from their own goals.
💬 “We wanted better for our kids, but we didn’t know where to start,” one mom told me during a coaching call.
🧩 Parents are expected to raise leaders, manage emotions, teach finances, and build confidence — all without tools, training, or time.
Many feel like they’re failing.
I saw it too often:
Brilliant kids who never discovered their spark.
Parents who were burned out, not because they didn’t care, but because they were trying to do it all alone.
Coaching programs that felt too clinical, too scripted, too out of touch with real family life.
And so, I asked myself the big question:
“What if there was a place where families could learn, grow, and dream together, through stories, play, and purpose?”
